Onze moedervereniging IPMS U.K vierde haar 60 jarig bestaan tijdens de grote Scale Model Word show op 11/12 november 2023 in Telford.
Er waren in the Telford International Centre 3 hallen vol modelbouw met duizenden gebouwde modellen van de lokale IPMS clubs, SIGs en ook waren er buitenlandse clubs aanwezig die de Noordzee waren overgestoken. Natuurlijk ook veel handel maar vooral uit de U.K.
In de wedstrijd stonden circa 2500 prachtige modellen in vele klassen. Met was enorm interessant dit allemaal te zien, maar ja natuurlijk veel te veel zelfs voor 2 dagen. Wat je kan opnemen van al dat moois is nu eenmaal beperkt.

Een aantal Nederlandse IPMS' ers gingen er ook heen waaronder Peter en Meindert van de SIG Aerobatic and Display teams van de IPMS U.K. met ook aantal modellen voor de SIG display. Zie hier de reportage.....
Verder had Henk van de SIG Falklands en Vergeten conflicten een display tafel weten te regelen, lees hier zijn reportage....
The founder of the International Plastic Modellers' Society, IPMS U.K, celebrated its 60th anniversary during the large Scale Model Word show on November 11/12, 2023 in Telford.
There were 3 halls full with plastic modelling in the Telford International Center with thousands of built models from the local IPMS clubs and SIGs. And there were also foreign clubs present who had crossed the North Sea. Of course also a lot of traders and commercial modelling companies, but mainly from the U.K.
The SMW competition featured approximately 2,500 beautiful models in many classes. It was extremely interesting to see all this, but of course way too much, even for 2 days. What you can absorb of all that beauty is simply limited.
Dutch members of the SIG Aerobatic and Display teams of the IPMS U.K. visited the show as well... Look at the SIG report here....
