The Fuji T-1 is a primary military jet trainer aircraft used by the Japan Air Self Defense Force, manufactured by Fuji Heavy Industries from Japan. Development started in 1955, one year after the JADSF was established that needed a jet trainer. First flight was January 1958. The T-1A was first fitted with a Bristol Siddeley Orpheus mk.805 jet engine and later T-1B with the Japanese T3 engine.  Some 60 T-1 were manufactured.
